We’ll start with a call or meeting, about 30-60 minutes, to discuss your needs. We will talk through your business or project and what kind of site and tools you need. It is helpful to have examples of websites you like or to check out websites for similar businesses before the meeting.

After we talk, I’ll come up with an estimate of hours and a proposed plan. There will probably be multiple options and a range of hours. Expect to have some work on your end, like writing content for the website and providing photos. I can help you build everything yourself with a small number of hours or I can provide more in-depth site-building which might take 10-20+ hours.

Once we agree to work together we will come up with a target launch date for the project and begin work. A small project might take a few weeks in total from initial discussion to launch. A medium to large project may take several months. I will always be available to answer questions and make changes after launch, but the goal will be for you to have a website you can update and manage yourself.

Since I work on mostly small projects, I will likely send only one invoice at the completion of the project. For larger projects, I will send an invoice once a month. I will always notify you in advance if a project looks like it will go over the estimated hours so that there are no surprises.
